Our new translation of Adam de la Halle's chansons, rondeaux and motets is now available here. Adam de la Halle (c1247-1287), otherwise known as Adam d'Arras and Adam le Bossu (a family epithet) is considered the last of the troubadours. A poet-composer of exceptional quality, his works anticipate the developments of music in the 14th century which led to the compositions of Guillaume de Machaut.
