Hesiod: Theogony
Hesiod's 'Theogony' is now available on the website here, in Christopher Kelk's new translation, which is composed in rhyming couplets. Written around the time when the Iliad and Odyssey were also composed in written form, Hesiod's poem of the Muses (who 'sing of present, past, and future'), and the origins of the gods and goddesses, also contains the first appearance of the myths of Pandora, Prometheus and the Golden Age.
