A further selection of 27 poems by Verlaine has been added to the site. These poems, a selection from the full range of his verse, early to late, touch on some of his favourite themes. The selection also includes poems with a strong autobiographical or self-referential content. Verlaine was not only a poet of great sensitivity, but also a marvellous mirror of his age. There is nothing truly like him whether in French or English poetry!
