This collection of A. S. Kline’s poetry explores the enmeshment of mind and world, the entanglement of the human species with its environment, of individuals with each other, and of our present with our past. The title also hints at the concept of quantum entanglement whereby apparently distinct entities may share a conjoined physical identity. Above all, the verse celebrates the unifying power of nature, the constant backcloth before which we play out our lives. As the title poem suggests, we are the clouds that pass through, yet as a part of many realms even when alone.
